PSA: A talk at the local craft fair changed my weekly spreads
I was at the craft fair in Springfield last Saturday and stopped by a small booth about paper crafts. The person running it showed me how they use a simple three column layout for their week, with one column for tasks, one for notes, and one for events. I tried it this week with my own notebook. It made my daily planning so much faster because I'm not mixing everything together. Has anyone else tried a setup like this for their weekly pages?

Oh wow that actually sounds pretty neat. I mean I've always just used a basic two column thing myself but mixing notes and tasks never worked that well. Maybe it's just me but having a spot just for random thoughts would help a lot. I might try that three column idea next week.

Three columns is all fine but the real trick is making sure your system actually matches how you think. I've tried all kinds of setups over the years and what finally clicked was realizing I'm a visual person so I need colors and spacing way more than strict categories. What works for one person just feels like homework for someone else. Maybe try the three columns but also mess around with moving stuff around physically like on a whiteboard or even sticky notes before you commit to a digital template. That way you'll know if the layout itself is helpful or if you just like the idea of it.
