Picked a minimalist monthly spread over a full art layout last week

I went with just clean lines and a simple habit tracker instead of the full on watercolor scene I usually do, and honestly my brain feels way less cluttered now. Has anyone else tried stripping it back and actually gotten more done?

Oh man, I totally get that feeling of clutter... even just looking at a busy layout can be exhausting before you've even started. I switched to a tiny pocket notebook with just a weekly spread and a single running to-do list a few months back. It's wild how much more I actually check in with it because there's no pressure to make it look good. Plus I started using a plain black pen instead of switching colors, which sounds boring but it really cut down on the time I spent fiddling around. Sometimes less really is more when it comes to getting stuff done...

sams25 that bit about the black pen hit home. I tried that a while back and ended up just using a pencil because I kept erasing things I thought looked messy. Now I carry around a mechanical pencil with a really soft lead and the whole thing smudges if I close the notebook too fast. Still less hassle than color coding though.
