My journal got soaked in a Portland coffee shop and I had to salvage it
I was at Stumptown Coffee on 3rd Avenue last month when someone knocked a whole latte onto my open journal. The pages were a mess of brown stains and running ink. I let it dry for two days, then used the ruined spreads to start a new section for messy brainstorming and test pages. Has anyone else turned a journal disaster into something you actually use now?

Oh man, that's such a smart way to handle it!

My sketchbook got rained on during a walk last year and the watercolor pages bled everywhere. I ended up gluing some of the messed up sheets together to make thicker paper for collage work, which actually solved my warping problem. It's funny how a ruined thing can become your favorite section, like you said with your brainstorming pages. That's a great idea, @zara_miller. I keep that sketchbook around just for testing new paints now because I'm not scared to wreck it.

My old sketchbook is now a Frankenstein monster of glued pages and weird paint tests.
