My habit tracker failed after 3 weeks straight
I started a new bullet journal spread in January with a habit tracker for drinking water and exercising. It worked great for the first 21 days, I was really proud of those little boxes filled in. Then on day 22 I forgot to fill it in, and I just never picked it back up. The blank spaces made me feel bad so I stopped using the whole journal for about a week. Has anyone else had their tracker fall apart and found a way to restart without guilt?

Stop beating yourself up over missing a day. That's the real problem here, not the tracker. You're treating a one day slip like a total failure when really it's just a normal part of life. Everyone has off days, that doesn't mean the whole system is broken. Just pick the journal back up today and mark the missed day as a skip or leave it blank. Future you won't care about day 22 if you've got 200 days of boxes filled in from sticking with it.

Sandra_black is right. I used to do the same thing and what finally got me past it was just forcing myself to write down "missed" on the blank day and kept going. After a few weeks that one blank spot didn't matter at all.
