Saw that my weekly coffee habit was $1,300 a year after I added it up in a spreadsheet.
I used to just hit the drive thru every morning for a latte and a breakfast sandwich, no questions asked. Then last month I sat down and tallied all my receipts from Starbucks and realized I was spending about $26 a week just on coffee runs. Has anyone else crunched the numbers on one small habit and been shocked by the total?
Man, same thing happened to me with my fast food lunches! I was grabbing a burger combo like 4 times a week, thinking it was just a few bucks here and there. Then I added it up and it came out to almost $1,600 a year. I felt so dumb when I saw the total sitting there on my phone screen. That's like a whole vacation or a new laptop just down the drain for soggy fries and a soda. Now I try to pack a sandwich or leftovers at least half the time, and it's wild how much I'm saving.
