Pro tip: frozen veggie scraps make broth for free
I used to throw away all my onion peels, carrot tops, and celery ends. Then my coworker said she saves them in a bag in the freezer. I was skeptical cause it sounded like a pain. But after 3 weeks I had a full gallon bag. Boiled it with some salt and bay leaves for an hour. Strained it out and got the best broth I've ever had for exactly $0. Anyone else do this or have other scraps they save?
