TIL that our plant nursery's morning huddles are gone, replaced by silent sensor data
When I first joined, the whole crew would meet at dawn to check each greenhouse bed together. We'd share tips on spotting early blight on tomatoes or which rose bush was thriving. Now, I review the same info alone on my screen from miles away. The old manager knew every employee's favorite plant, but new bosses just see spreadsheets. I once debated leaving for a city park job, but stayed for the soil under my nails. It's strange how caring for plants became so quiet and separate from people.
