Unpopular opinion: spending $70 on a used copy of an out of print book for book club saved my whole month
Half the group said paying over cover price for a paperback is nuts when the library had a wait list three months out, and the other half said $70 for a book we only met about once was the real scam. Where do you draw the line for a book you can't get any other way?

Man, I used to be the guy who'd wait the three months and never complain. Then I missed out on a book club pick that went out of print and spent the whole meeting nodding along while everyone talked about it. Now I just pay the $70 if it's the only way to get it, because showing up with nothing to say is way worse.
