Took me 3 hours to find one lousy character name in a 400 page novel
Last night I was prepping for our Thursday book club meetup and needed to find a minor character's name from chapter 5. I swore it was a guy named Carl but turns out it was a woman named Carla who only appeared for two paragraphs. I spent 3 full hours flipping through pages because I didn't mark it with a sticky note when I first read it. Now I keep a pack of those little flags right on my nightstand. Has anyone else spent way too long hunting down a detail you were totally sure about?

Oh wow, 3 hours is rough but I feel this so hard. Actually though, Carl and Carla are pretty different names, so I'm wondering if maybe you were thinking of a totally different character from that whole book? Like I've done that before where I mix up two separate novels I was reading at the same time. The sticky note thing is genius though, I just use my phone to snap a pic of the page now, way faster than flags honestly.
