Our book club's lively chat about that mystery novel took a wild turn

Most members were set on the butler, but I defended the gardener's role! The reaction was a mix of shock and chuckles, making it a night to remember.

See, that's why we usually pick the butler in life too, skipping the gardener.

My uncle actually hired a gardener for his place in Tempe last year, it wasn't some fancy choice between servants. Most of us are just trying to get the lawn mowed, not casting a movie about rich people. Feels like this is reading way too much into regular chores.

Read an article that argued we pick the butler in games because it feels more like having a helpful roommate. The gardener usually just does one outdoor job, so the butler seems like better value for the fantasy. Makes sense when you put it that way.
