Honestly that meeting could just be a good show they put on. The real test is years down the road when things get hard or awkward. It still sets up a really complicated family situation for the kid.

People love a good show for the cameras. It's easy to be nice when everyone's watching and things are new. The real mess starts when the newness wears off and real life kicks in.
