Overheard my coworker raving about a show, now I'm mad
I was grabbing coffee at my dispatch office in Memphis last Tuesday and heard this trucker going on about 'The Bear' like it was the best thing ever. He said the first episode hooked him with all the chaos and yelling, but I finally watched it last night and spent the whole first episode confused and annoyed. Am I missing something or does it take a few episodes to click?

Man, you watched the whole first episode waiting for it to get good? That's rough. I feel your pain, I stuck through the whole first season hoping it would click and it just felt like a loud, sweaty mess with no real payoff. The constant yelling and kitchen chaos gave me a headache, and I couldn't even tell who I was supposed to root for. What's your tolerance for that kind of stress in a show?

That first season took me three attempts to get through because the stress level is genuinely Off the charts for me. I can handle tense dramas but the constant screaming and chaos just feels like anxiety without any breather. Do you think the show's defenders are just more okay with that kind of sensory overload or are they actually seeing something I'm missing?
