Hot take: I spent $40 on a month of that new 'Vortex' streaming service and it was a total waste
I saw all the ads for their original shows and figured, why not? I gave them a solid weekend, trying to get into three of their big dramas. The writing felt lazy, like they had a cool idea for a pilot but no plan for the rest. One show about a time-traveling detective had a great first episode, then fell apart by the third. The whole platform felt like a ghost town for good content. After a week, I realized I was just scrolling, not watching anything. I canceled before the month was even up. Has anyone actually found a hidden gem on there, or is it all just flashy trailers?

Wait, you made it a whole week? I lasted two days. The menu screen was the most exciting thing I saw.

Doesn't this just feel like everything now? A company spends all its money on the ads to get you in the door, but the actual thing is empty. It's like a cool looking restaurant with no good food. They built the whole platform around selling subscriptions, not around having shows worth watching.
