Used to hate internal cable routing until I did a Di2 setup last weekend

I always thought running cables through the frame was a pointless headache. But after building up a Canyon with fully hidden wires Saturday, the clean look won me over. Anyone else cave on this after fighting with zip ties for years?

And honestly even with a few visible hoses it's still way cleaner than the old zip tie mess. I had a 2018 bike where the front brake hose looped around the head tube like a garden hose, looked awful. The charging port thing is whatever, you charge it once a month maybe. Plus most modern frames have little rubber plugs that hide the charge port almost completely now. So unless you're staring at the bike from 2 inches away, it's basically invisible.

Yeah, "fully hidden" is a bit of a stretch for most setups. Even with Di2, you still have the brake hoses and the charging port wire sticking out somewhere, unless you've got a fully wireless system. That's a pretty common point of confusion. The clean look is definitely better, but there's usually still some wire or hose you have to deal with. Just don't expect zero cables on the frame.
