Managers who never turn a bolt shouldn't decide repair times
Idk, maybe it's just me, but setting times without hands-on experience leads to rushed jobs and unhappy customers.

Our shop manager tried that last year. The comeback rate on brake jobs doubled in a month. It just pushes good techs to cut corners.

My buddy's auto shop had managers slash book time on brake jobs. The mechanics had to rush, and a customer came back with loose calipers a week later.

Cutting brake job times is just asking for trouble. Mechanics end up rushing and missing key safety checks. Loose calipers are a clear sign that someone dropped the ball.
