Hit 500 complete tuneups this morning and had no idea I was that close

I was just looking through my work logs from 2022 trying to figure out when I last replaced a certain batch of cables, and I accidentally counted up all the tuneups I've done at this shop. 500 exactly as of today. That number kind of hit me weird because I don't think of myself as that experienced but I guess 2 years of 4-5 tuneups a day adds up. Did anyone else ever accidentally count something like this? What was your milestone and did it change how you saw your own work?

I read somewhere that repair techs often underestimate their own volume until they actually track it, and 500 tuneups in two years is a SOLID number. That's like becoming a specialist in common failure points without even realizing it, just from repetition. I remember hearing a podcast where a mechanic said the first 100 of anything is just figuring out the basics, but by 500 you've basically seen every weird problem that can happen. It definitely changes how you carry yourself when you realize you've got that kind of background knowledge built up.
