Pro tip: I switched from a basic plastic cape to a barber-specific nylon one with a snap collar and the difference in how clean my station stays is night and day.

After 6 months of dealing with stray hairs getting everywhere with the old cape, the new one with the tight seal at the neck has cut my cleanup time in half, so what's your best tool upgrade that saved you time?

Honestly thought it was just a gimmick but yeah, the right cape makes a huge difference. I was cleaning up hairs for ages before I switched.

Wait, isn't nylon the one that lets static build up?

Nylon capes do build up static if you're not careful but a quick spritz of anti-static spray fixes that right up. The snap collar is the real game changer though - mine fits tight enough that I don't have to sweep clippings off my own shoulders anymore. Your mileage may vary with the static part, but that neck seal alone is worth the switch.
