Had a walk-in yesterday who wanted a skin fade from a 2 guard start...

I'm over in Cleveland and this guy sits down, says he wants a skin fade but wants to start from a 2 guard at the top. I told him that's gonna leave a big step up and he insisted. 20 minutes later he's staring at the mirror with this weird ridge halfway up his head. He asked me to fix it but there wasn't much I could do without taking more off. Anyone else deal with clients who think they know the clipper game better than you do?

Oh yeah I've been there. Dude came in wanting a "modern fade" but refused to let me go above a 3 guard at the top. Twenty minutes later he's looking at himself with this clipper line that looked like a freaking shelf. He asked if I could blend it out and I'm like, "Man, the only way to blend that is to go shorter, you want me to keep going?" And he just STOOD there staring at the mirror like I was the one who messed up. People watch one YouTube tutorial and suddenly they're the expert.

Ugh, that's the worst. People really don't get how much trust matters in this job.
