Cardamom buns are replacing croissants at every bakery I visit

It makes me wonder if we're all tired of butter layers now.

Man, I totally get what you mean about the butter overload. @barbara_green is right that they're still full of butter, but that cardamom spice changes the whole game. After eating so many croissants, the warm flavor feels like a real change of pace. It's just nice to have something different for a while.

I get what you mean about the butter layers thing, but cardamom buns are usually packed with butter too. It's more about craving a different flavor than getting tired of the fat. I mean, a good cardamom bun is just a spiced butter vehicle.
