My climbing line got stuck in a squirrel's nest yesterday

I was finishing a removal on a big oak in Springfield and pulled my rope through the last crotch. It just stopped halfway down. I looked up and saw my line tangled in a huge mess of leaves and twigs about thirty feet up. My ground guy just laughed and said, 'Looks like you're buying the new rope.' Had to climb back up and cut the nest apart to free it. Anyone ever have a squirrel sabotage their gear like that?

Seriously? That's not a gear problem, it's just a bad pull. You can almost always shake those free from the ground if you work the rope right. Your ground guy should have helped instead of just watching.
