Hit 500 trees planted in a single season and it flipped my view on the job

Always saw planting as a numbers game, but hitting that mark made me notice how many of those saplings were in a new city park project... seeing them all together changed something. Anyone else have a number that shifted how you see a regular part of the work?

Man, that's awesome. I used to track my daily word count like a scoreboard, just trying to hit a big number. Then one day I realized the 50,000 words I was so proud of was just one really, really long and terrible first draft of a novel. Seeing it all as one pile of junk instead of separate days of work was a gut punch. Kinda makes you wonder what we're really counting, right?

Nah, @sean_barnes83, that 50k word pile is the whole point. You can't fix a blank page, but you can fix a bad draft. Counting words just builds the raw material you NEED to start shaping something real. The number is the proof you showed up.
