I finally fixed a dryer that took me 4 days longer than it should have

Had this old Maytag dryer that was running but not heating. Checked the thermal fuse, the heating element, the thermistor, all that stuff. Spent the first day going in circles swapping parts that weren't bad. Turned out the real issue was a broken wire hidden inside the blower housing where I never thought to look. It must have chafed through over time and finally snapped. That little break cost me about 6 hours of testing and head scratching. Felt like a rookie move after 12 years of doing this work. Has anyone else had a simple fix get buried by a weird location like that?

The blower housing is one of those spots you just don't expect to find a wire issue.

That sticky door seal is probably chafing through the insulation on those wires too.
