Heard some kid call film cameras "vintage" and it hit me weird
I was at a coffee shop last week and this teenager pointed at my Pentax K1000 and called it a vintage camera. Made me feel old since I learned on that exact model in high school. But I guess 30 years is a long time in tech years. Do you guys ever have moments where you forget how much time has passed since film was the standard?

Nah, a K1000 from the 90s is just old, not vintage like a Kodak from the 40s.

Be straight with me @blaked79, a K1000 from the 90s is absolutely vintage. Age isn't the only thing that makes something vintage, it's about the vibe and what it represents. Those cameras are iconic and people collect them for the look and feel, not just the year. A 90s K1000 has more in common with a classic film camera than whatever cheap digital stuff came out after it. Call it old if you want, but it's earned its place in the vintage category just fine.
