Worst Monday ever with a DSC panel in a crawlspace
Had a job last Tuesday out in Maplewood where the homeowner had a DSC 1864 panel mounted upside down inside a crawlspace. Spent 3 hours on my back in mud trying to program zones while spiders dropped on my face. Finally got it working and the guy handed me a warm soda and said "thanks for not quitting." Has anyone else dealt with panels in absurd locations?

Mud, spiders, and a warm soda - that's a pretty good deal for 3 hours under a house. Did he say why they mounted it upside down in the first place? That detail alone makes me wonder if there's a story there, like maybe a previous installer who was a real piece of work or something.

Oh man, I feel your pain. I once found a panel behind a water heater in a laundry room, had to move it just to see the terminals while hot water dripped on my arm the whole time.
