Watched a new guy in Phoenix run wire right next to a power line for a whole block
He said he did it to save time on a job last week, but that's just asking for noise and false alarms. How do you even get through training without learning about that basic rule?

Remember seeing a tech zip-tie a data cable to a fluorescent ballast. Makes you wonder what shortcuts they teach these days, right? Some basics just seem to get skipped.

That's a classic one. You see stuff like that and it makes you wonder if they even cover basic interference in training anymore. Like, how does that not fry the cable over time? Feels like some people just skip the "why" behind the rules.

Does @emery603 ever sleep with that fluorescent story?
