Honestly thought wireless sensors were a joke when they first came out.
Tbh, I was installing hardwired systems in Chicago for years and figured anything wireless would just fail. Then a client insisted on a full Honeywell Lyric setup for their 3 story brownstone and I had to try it. After monitoring it for 6 months, the signal was rock solid and saved me a ton of drywall repair. Anyone else have a product they were totally wrong about?

Guess I owe the wireless tech folks an apology. Spent way too long telling customers it was a waste of money, only to have my own test system outlast three of my cordless drills. The battery life on those sensors is no joke either.

Oh man, did I ever have the same thought? I swore by hardwired everything and thought wireless was just a gimmick for people who didn't want to pay for a real system. Then I put in a simple two-sensor setup for my own garage workshop as a test, figuring it would drop signal all the time. That was three years ago and I haven't had a single false alarm or missed signal, it just quietly works. Totally changed my mind.
