Finally got the hang of that tricky flap motor alignment on a King Air 200

I was working on a King Air 200 at the hangar in Boise last Thursday, and the lead mechanic, Dave, showed me his trick with a laser level to check the rigging. I'd been fighting with a slight binding issue for an hour, and his method got it perfect in about ten minutes. Has anyone else found a better tool for that specific job on the 200 series?

It's funny how often the "right" tool is just the one that gets the job done without the headache. The old way might be correct on paper, but if a laser level saves an hour of fussing, that's the real win. Progress usually just means finding a less annoying way to do the same old thing.

That laser level trick... I always thought you needed the old-school plumb bob and string for that job. But I saw a guy at our place in Billings do it with a laser last year, and it was just so much faster. Totally changed how I set up for that job now.
