My oven takes 20 minutes just to preheat. I'm basically saving the planet one frozen potato wedge at a time.

My toaster oven changed the game for stuff like that (way faster for small batches).

It's funny how we all slowly figure out the same small fixes. Like @the_alice said about the toaster oven, it's that shift from using the big tool for every job to picking the right sized one. You see it everywhere now, from these small kitchen appliances to people driving less for single errands. It feels less about some huge sacrifice and more about finally noticing the dumb, wasteful habits we got used to.

Yeah, and it's not just the time. My old oven heats up the whole kitchen, so the AC has to work overtime in the summer. The air fryer keeps that heat contained to one little spot. It feels like a double win, using less power for cooking and then less power to cool the house back down. Makes you realize how wasteful a big oven is for just a few chicken tenders.
