Saved a soggy batch of wings with a 5-minute preheat trick

I tried making frozen wings last week and they came out all limp and wet even after 20 minutes. Figured out I wasn't preheating the air fryer long enough because I was rushing after work. Let it run empty for a full 5 minutes at 400 before tossing the wings in and they came out crispy like restaurant quality. Anyone else skip preheating or did I just miss the obvious lol?

Is it just me or does rushing stuff always mess it up somehow lol?

The 400 degree preheat at 5 minutes is good but you can actually go a bit hotter for frozen wings. I do 375 for the first 10 minutes then bump it to 400 for the last 5 to get the skin extra crispy without burning. Also you gotta flip them halfway through or the bottom stays soggy. The real game changer for me was patting them dry with paper towels before they go in even if they're frozen. Might sound like extra work but it makes a huge difference. You tried that yet?
