Pro tip: Stop crowding the basket with frozen fries every single time
I kept getting soggy fries for months and blamed my air fryer, but last week I tried doing a single layer of frozen crinkle cuts from the store brand bag and they came out crispy in 12 minutes at 400. Turns out piling them up just traps steam and ruins the crunch. Anybody else realize they were overfilling and finally fix it?

Learned this the hard way making hash browns a couple years back. Piled a whole bag of shredded potatoes in the basket and ended up with a mushy, pale mess that took forever to cook. Now I do small batches spread out thin and they get that golden brown crust in under 15 minutes. Makes cleanup more annoying since I have to do multiple rounds, but the texture is worth it.
