Just compared frozen to fresh wings in my air fryer... big mistake

I did a side by side with frozen solid wings and fresh ones last night and the frozen ones came out way drier even with extra time. Has anyone else noticed a big difference between the two or am I just doing something wrong?

Wait wait wait... they're PART COOKED sometimes?! I never even considered that. No wonder my frozen wings tasted like disappointment and regret.

Honestly that "even with extra time" part hit me hard because I did the same thing with frozen thighs and they were like chewing on cardboard. I thought adding more time would make up for it but it just dried them out worse. Tbh I think frozen wings need less time not more since they're already part cooked sometimes. Ngl I've given up on frozen chicken in the air fryer completely unless I'm desperate.
