Tried an AI tool that told me my driveway was worth $40k more than my house
I was testing one of those new AI property valuation apps for a listing I had in Raleigh. Uploaded a few photos and it scanned the house, yard, everything. It came back saying the driveway was the single most valuable feature at $42,000 more than the actual 3 bed 2 bath house. I laughed for like 10 minutes. Spent another 45 minutes trying to figure out if it was a bug or if I should start marketing driveways. Has anyone else gotten absurd results from these automated valuation tools?

Sounds like that AI is trying to flip the script and become a driveway salesman instead of a property appraiser. $42k for a driveway? That better be paved with gold and have its own mailbox. Maybe the algorithm got confused and thought driveways are the new tiny houses. Next thing you know, people will be listing their parking spots on Zillow and expecting offers over asking. You should totally market that driveway as a standalone property, call it "The Asphalt Oasis" and see if anyone bites.

Nah, I actually think the AI might be onto something here. Driveways are getting wild expensive now. $42k could be right if it's a long one with heated concrete or fancy pavers.
