Our town's smart grid with AI is raising my electric bill
Folks claim AI cuts energy waste. From my bills, it seems to just shift when power is used, not save it.

My bill went up 12% last quarter after they installed the new smart meters. At this point I'm starting to wonder if the AI has identified me personally as the biggest energy waste in the county. Maybe the algorithm just sees my late-night gaming sessions and sighs.

Those late-night gaming sessions you mentioned got me thinking about my own power habits. Last month my AC broke during a heatwave and my bill was insane without any smart meter involved. Sometimes old appliances just fail at the worst times.
