inHad to choose between a full compressor swap or a leak repair on a 2018 fridge
My old shop always pushed for the swap, but I've seen those epoxy patches last for years.

inFound my great-grandpa's old axe head in a barn corner, it was a total wreck
Bringing that stamp back is a win, no matter what. Vinegar's gentle enough for light rust if you don't soak it for days... the temper comes from heat, not the surface. Sometimes a tool needs to be usable again more than it needs to be a perfect museum piece. @dylan976, a chisel is meant to cut wood, right? If it works, you saved it. This axe is going to split wood again, and that's what really matters.

inThe quietest place I found to work in Bangkok was a public library
My go-to quiet spot used to be the big city hall library downtown. I'd sit in the history section surrounded by these giant old books that smelled like dust. The only sound was the hum of the lights and some guy in the corner softly snoring. It was perfect until I tried to fix a leaky water fountain in the lobby and my wrench slipped, making a noise so loud a librarian actually shushed me from two rooms over. What's the most awkward noise you've ever made in a quiet place?

inMy local shop's cold brew is suddenly way too bitter
That Guatemalan bean sounds like a real betrayal.
