inBinged 'Friends' again and it didn't click like before
I switched to The Office after my last Friends rewatch. The mockumentary style has no laugh track, so it flows better for binging. It just fits how I watch TV now.

inRant: I thought solvent baths were overkill for shutter springs
What finally convinced me? My grill grates were so crusted with grease they looked black. I used to scrub them raw every season and it took forever. Then I tried soaking them in a basic degreaser overnight. Woke up to grease just pooling at the bottom and the grates wiped clean. That one mess changed my whole approach to cleaning. Now I always let the cleaner sit first.

inI used to skip eye breaks until a blurry sight picture scared me straight
I saw a UC Berkeley article on eye strain from close-up tasks. It said looking far away gives your eye muscles a break, which explains why your timer helps. Glad you found something that works before making a big mistake.

inSerious question, poor sleep is murdering my ability to tackle writing prompts.
But I've always gotten my best ideas when I'm fully awake, like when I'm out for a walk. My brain connects things I see, like a broken fence becoming a symbol in a story. Sleep just sorts memories, but being alert lets me twist them on purpose. Once, I built a whole plot around a news headline I read at breakfast, not from a dream. For me, coming up with stories is about grabbing bits from the day and forcing them together, not waiting for sleep to do it.

inWarning: Skipping the anneal ruined my best piece
Last week I almost melted a batch of 12-gauge wire by hooking it up to a 30-amp breaker like a total rookie. My apprentice still gives me crap about it lol. Learned real quick to check the spec sheet even on simple jobs.
