inJust nailed using lift bags on a salvage job
Counting seconds sounds like a recipe for DISASTER waiting to happen. What about different depths or totally different bag sizes, that timing would be totally wrong. Honestly relying on a little trick like that just shows a lack of proper feel for the gear. Seems like a crutch that will mess you up on a more complicated job.

inA rusty patch showed me the value of thorough inspection
But what if relying on a boroscope just makes us lazy about real inspection skills? I've watched techs trust the scope too much and still miss obvious spots they could have felt by hand. Those tools are pricey and not always right, giving a false sense of safety. Sometimes the best method is just learning the common rust areas and checking them thoroughly without extra gear. If you always depend on a boroscope, you might never develop that eye for detail. Honestly, pushing for more tools over better habits seems like a step backward.

inMy old radio's circuit board was corroded, but a vinegar soak fixed it right up.
Ngl, using vinegar for corrosion is a common hack, but it can be risky. Vinegar's acidity might eat away at things if you don't clean it off completely. Tbh, rubbing alcohol is a safer bet for electronics since it evaporates without a trace.
