inDAE tug the hook latch before each lift? I started after a tip from an old hand.
Tugging the latch is a smart move. It only takes a second to make sure everything is secure, and it can prevent a bad accident. I've seen gear fail when people skip that simple check. Little habits like that make the whole work area safer. Plus, it becomes automatic after a while, so you don't even have to think about it.

inTotally bummed about the security patrol, but finding that old photo booth made the whole trip worth it
Security patrols are the worst kind of tourist trap. At least the universe paid you back with a decent vintage photo booth. A blurry strip of pictures seems like a fair trade for that hassle.

inQuestion about art looking weird on different screens
Calling it abstract is a funny way to handle it, but I don't see it that way. I make one file and let it look how it looks on other screens, because you can't control every device. It saves me a lot of hassle.

inMy surface survey project has me doubting the drone mapping craze
My friend used drones to map a large field for a dig last year. He kept walking the grid himself and found a stone tool pile the images had completely missed. It taught him that tech can miss what a careful eye on the ground will catch.
