The 3 AM deleted scene that changed my whole take on the show

I was up feeding the baby around 3 AM last Thursday and stumbled on a deleted scene from season 2 of The Expanse on YouTube. It was just 4 minutes of Amos and Prax talking in the galley, no action, no plot, but it explained why Amos acts the way he does around kids. I never read the books so I had no clue that backstory existed. Now I wanna rewatch the whole series just to see if it hits different. Has anyone else found a deleted scene that completely flipped how they saw a character?

Question whether a 4 minute scene really changes that much, though. Sounds like it just fills in what you could already guess from how he acts around kids in the actual show.
