The bakery sign spelling changed after 4 months, and it's glorious

Tbh I've been watching this little bakery on 5th Street since they opened back in March. Their chalkboard sign outside always had something off about it, like 'freash bagels' and 'coffe and muffins' spelled wrong every single day. It was my favorite part of walking to the bus stop, ngl, I looked forward to the new mistakes each morning. But last Tuesday I walked past and the sign said 'FRESH BAGELS' and 'COFFEE & MUFFINS' with perfect spelling and even a little smiley face. I actually stopped and stared for like a full minute, wondering if someone new had taken over or if they finally hired a proofreader. I asked the cashier inside and she said the owner's 14 year old daughter started helping with the signs after summer break started. Now the signs are way less funny but also way more legit, I almost miss the chaos. Has anyone else had a beloved typo spot get fixed and feel weirdly disappointed?

Wait, are we all secretly attached to other people's mistakes or is this just a weird human thing? My buddy Marcus had this same exact thing happen with a taco truck near his work. The menu board always said "carne asada fries" but spelled "carne asda" for like six months straight, and he'd send me pics every single time like it was a new joke. Then one day he walks up and it says "CARNE ASADA FRIES" all perfect and neat, and he literally texted me "the magic is gone" with a sad face. He asked the guy behind the counter and turns out his nephew fixed it over the weekend, just wanted to help out. Marcus still eats there but he says it's not the same, like the place lost its charm or something. I get it though, those little flaws make a spot feel real and lived in, once they're gone you just notice the blank space where the funny used to be.
