The throwaway comment about the recliner blocking the fireplace really hit me. I used to swear staging was all about making a place look clean and pretty, but that's not the whole story. Now I walk in and ask what the eye lands on first, because that's the whole point. It's wild how one stranger's offhand remark can show you what you've been missing for weeks.
