PSA: My go-to hike being shut down for months showed me a big flaw in how repairs are done.

I used to think trails were fixed fast, but now I see the delays are normal.

Hold on, you're just accepting that trails take forever to fix? That seems like giving up too easy. Why should we settle for months of closure when people want to get outside? I've watched crews patch up spots in no time when they really want to. Isn't the bigger issue that we don't make them hurry up? If we all just shrug, then nothing changes. What good is a trail if it's always blocked off?

It's like how we accept slow service everywhere now, from potholes to customer support lines. Getting used to waiting just becomes the norm lol.

Ever notice how we just stop complaining after a while? I get so tired of waiting on hold for an hour that I just give up and hang up. It feels like we're all too worn out to keep pushing for better.
