Vent: That hidden garden alley downtown is covered in graffiti now

I stumbled on this little alley garden years ago, tucked between two buildings. It had wildflowers and a bench, perfect for a quiet break. Now, every time I walk by, there's new spray paint on the walls. The flowers are getting trampled, and trash piles up in the corners. It used to be a nice escape from the busy streets. I don't get why people can't just enjoy it without ruining it. Maybe if more folks knew about it, they'd help keep it clean. But right now, it feels like a lost cause, and that's a real shame.

Doesn't it just make you sad to see something so nice get treated like that? I know exactly what you mean. There was a similar little park by my old place with a few dogwood trees and a small pond. People started leaving trash everywhere, and the pond turned green with algae. Someone smashed the only bench last fall, and now the city just fenced it off. It really feels like we're losing all these quiet corners for no good reason.

Eh, it's just some paint and weeds.

I remember that spot from like three summers ago when the morning glories were climbing the brick. My own houseplants are all dying slow, sad deaths, so I guess I can't really judge anyone for messing up a public space either. It just sucks when one of the few nice, quiet places gets treated like that.
