PSA: My rainy day win with a spotter over screens

Was setting steel beams in a downpour. All the monitor screens fogged up. Had my spotter call out distances instead. Placed everything perfect first try. Some crews go all digital now. I think old-school eyes still matter. What's your view on this?

Used to think you had to go all in on tech. That rain made me see a good pair of eyes is still the best tool.

My last crew spent a fortune on a screen that just showed ads for the hardware company. The spotter just pointed and grunted, which was more useful.
