Changed my mind after my boss gave the same talk twice

I always thought deja vu was just a brain hiccup. But last week, my boss gave the same opening speech in two meetings, with the same words and pauses. I compared my notes, and it was exact. That made me believe in glitches.

Nah, I figure it's just memory playing tricks. Brains are weird like that, they patch things together. My old boss used to recycle the same three stories all the time.

Yeah, brains totally patch things together. I had a friend who swore we saw a movie together, but he described the whole plot wrong. Turns out he mixed up two different films from the same year. I just gently showed him the trailers on my phone and he was like, "Oh wow, you're right." Sometimes a little outside proof helps sort the memory glitch.
