Rant: I used to hate giving discounts, but one client made me rethink it
I thought cutting my prices was a bad move for my freelance biz. But last month, a new client asked for a lower rate on a big project. I said yes, even though I was nervous about it. That project went so well that they hired me for three more. They also told two friends about me, who became clients too. Now I think that sometimes a small discount can pay off big later. It's not about being cheap, it's about building trust.

Absolutely, that bad precedent hurts us all, emma349.

The precedent was set last year with the Anderson contract. It's more about the structure than the total number.
