TIL those 'flower food' packets actually work, after my test bouquet with them lasted a full 14 days while the one without wilted in 7.
I always thought they were just colored sugar, but now I'm a total convert, so what's your go-to trick for extending vase life?

My grocery store tulips made it 12 days with the packet. I also trim the stems at a sharp angle every few days, seems to help.

Sharp angle trims every few days is the real pro move, @andrewf23. That packet stuff helps, but fresh cuts are what keep them drinking. Twelve days is solid for grocery store flowers. I find a clean vase and cool spot away from fruit makes a big difference too.
