Stuck on a moral call for a corporate gala arrangement
A big company hired me for their event and requested a specific flower that's often grown with poor labor conditions. I found out their usual supplier has bad practices, but switching might cost me the job. Have you ever turned down work over ethics?

Tough spot you're in. Money and morals pulling different ways is never simple. Seen folks walk away from paychecks over stuff like this. Often leads to better work down the line, even if it hurts now. Your call, but standing firm on your values sorts things out in the long run. Hard picks shape how people see you more than the easy ones.

Heard about a planner who faced this and said no to the supplier. It hurt their wallet at first but they got better jobs later.

My buddy Alex designs kitchens and had a supplier push really cheap cabinets made with glue that smelled awful for weeks. Turning them down meant walking away from a whole house project, which stung. But that client told another builder about Alex refusing to cut corners on air quality. That builder now sends all their high-end work his way, people who actually care about materials.
