Appreciation post: That time a bride's bouquet wilted at the altar in Phoenix

I had to run to the venue's kitchen, grab a bowl of ice water, and do a full stem-trim and water change in the back room (the coordinator was not happy). Has anyone else had to perform emergency surgery on a bouquet mid-ceremony?

Look, it's her bouquet, not just decor. It's a big deal to her, so it was to me.

Wait, you left the actual altar to fix it?

Emergency surgery on a bouquet? Was it really that big of a deal? It's just some flowers, they were going to get tossed in an hour anyway. The coordinator was right to be annoyed, you left the ceremony to play florist. Why cause a scene over something that's basically decoration?
