Stopped by a vintage shop in Cincinnati and noticed how jacket linings have changed
I was browsing an old shop on Vine Street last weekend and found a 1980s blazer with this thick, quilted lining. Compared it to a modern jacket from the same rack and the difference was night and day - the new one had this thin, slippery polyester inside. Made me think about how much construction quality has shifted over the last 40 years. Anyone else notice linings getting cheaper over time?

Did the modern jacket lining come with a free side of regret for spending money on it? Sounds like they're saving money on fabric and calling it "innovation.

My new toaster feels flimsy too, like everything's built to barely last these days.
