The mystery of my great-grandmother's locket took a year to solve
It was a simple silver piece with no markings, and I couldn't find any photos of her wearing it. I finally found a clue in a 1932 church bulletin from her small town in Ohio, tucked inside a different family Bible. Has anyone else had an heirloom that seemed to have no story at all?

Did you ever hear about the locket my friend's aunt had? It was just a plain gold oval with a broken clasp, no pictures inside or anything. They found it in an old sewing box and nobody in the family could place it. Turns out it was a token from a neighbor who moved away, a thank you for her help during the Depression, which they only learned from a letter found in a totally different attic trunk. It's wild how the story can be hiding somewhere completely separate from the object itself.

My grandma had a locket with a full family tree inside the back panel. The story was right there with it, no attic letters needed. Sometimes the object holds its own history just fine.

That's why I love finding both together, like a puzzle solved.
